About the Area:

The area is renowned for its sporting and recreational facilities including excellent sailing and water sports in Poole Harbour, horse riding and spectacular walks on the Isle of Purbeck and along its rugged coastline. Golf at Parkstone, Ferndown and Broadstone.

The area is well situated for travelling by road, rail, plane and ferry. There are regular train services to London (Waterloo from Bournemouth approx 105 mins). Bournemouth Airport is to the East of the conurbation and Southampton Airport within about 40 minutes motoring distance. Ferries to France leave regularly from Poole Harbour.

Residential areas are well serviced by local shops and the town centres of Poole and Bournemouth offer excellent shopping and entertainment facilities with Poole Art Centre and Bournemouth International Centre.
